BC will have the first chiropractic academic institute in Western Canada, Pacific Academic Institute of Chiropractic (PAIC).   The new academic institute and research centre will support BC's health care system through innovative and improved health outcomes that also realize lower health costs.

Each year for ten years, from 2009 to 2018, BC chiropractic doctors are contributing $5000 to raise the first $6 million of the $30 million campaign goal to support a new health education, research, and community primary care centre at SFU Burnaby.

Please help by increasing awareness and a donation to support treatment and prevention of spine and related health conditions.  You will receive a tax receipt donating through this site.

We are striving for $24 million overall, let's reach that goal.  Be a part of the movement - share this page and subscribe to our posts.  Whether large or small, your donation makes a difference.

Project Updates

  • New Chiropractors registered in the Province of BC revealed in our 2015 survey that:

    1. Research Strategy;
    2. Faculty; and
    3. University Affiliation

    are the top three reasons for choosing a Chiropractic School in BC.

    The Pacific Academic Institute of Chiropractic (PAIC) will proudly be offering and known for these three very important selection criteria.

    The dedication of BC chiropractors in raising funds and the efforts of many, including the Pacific Spine Education & Research Foundation (PSREF) are making this long-time dream come true.

    Please offer your assitance by giving a tax deductible donation of $5 or greater.  Click the green button "donate" to the right.

  • We conducted a survey in early 2015 with Chiropractors registered (in the 3 previous years) with their professional provincial chiropractic associations in each of Alberta, British Columbia and Manitoba.  Respondents numbered 153.  Here is the question and the response results to Question #1 of three:

     Q1:  If you had the choice to attend a School of Chiropractic in BC, might you have chosen to apply there for your education?

  • The long standing natural health educational charity, Health Action Network Society (HANS), has declared openly that it approves of and supports the goals of the Pacific Academic Institute of Chiropractic (PAIC).

    Since 1984 HANS has been well known for providing the public with quality resources on how to improve one's health.  One of its stated purposes is to improve and expand the scope and quality of preventative healthcare services available to Canadians.

    We are proud to be aligned with this Society and to receive such an endorsement.   Check out their magazine, directories and information here.
